Lumba Sumba Trail is one of the new trekking routes explored and idenfied by Trekking Agencies Association of Nepal (TAAN). Lumba Sumba Peak (5200 m) is the major attraction of the trail which also offers spectacular view of the Himalayan Landscapes. Limbu, Sherpa, Rai, Gurung, Magar, Newar and Tamang are the ethnic groups found along the trail. The treks runs through Kanchenjunga Conservation Area and Makalu Barun National Park in the eastern Himalayan region of Nepal. Various species of birds and wildlife including the endangered Snow Leopard and Red Panda among others.
